Nathan Novak is a director of Willamette Management Associates. He is also the director of the Chicago office.

Biography

Nathan has performed the following types of valuation and economic analyses: business and succession planning valuations, acquisition purchase price allocation valuations, goodwill impairment analyses, blockage discount analyses, reasonableness of compensation analyses, restructuring and reorganization analyses, transfer price analyses, merger and acquisition valuations, and economic damages analyses.

Nathan has valued the following types of business entities and securities: close corporations, close corporation fractional ownership interests, public corporations, intangible assets (including intellectual property), general and limited partnership interests, restricted equity securities, preferred stock, closely held business enterprises, and estates.

He has prepared valuation and economic analysis for the following purposes: taxation planning and compliance (federal income and gift and estate tax), restructuring and reorganization, asset impairment analyses, financial reporting, economic damages analyses, shareholder disputes, divorce, transfer pricing analyses, and corporate planning.

Previous Experience

Before joining Willamette Management Associates, Nathan interned at Bank of America – Merrill Lynch in its personal wealth management division. At Merrill Lynch, Nathan assisted in gathering equity and bond research and worked with financial advisors to help them reach their client’s financial goals.

Nathan is an accredited senior appraiser (“ASA”) of the American Society of Appraisers, accredited in business valuation. Nathan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) through the CFA Institute. Nathan is a former member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is a current member of the Business Valuation Association of Chicago.
