Biography

Jacob performs the following types of valuation and economic analysis assignments: merger and acquisition, business and stock, stock option, forensic analysis, transfer pricing, estate tax, transfer tax, intellectual property, marital dissolution, lost profits/economic damages, and appraisal review.

He prepares these valuation and economic analyses for the following purposes: planning and compliance (federal income, gift, and estate tax; state and local property tax; and transfer tax), forensic analysis and dispute resolution, strategic information and corporate planning, employee stock ownership plan (“ESOP”) transaction and financing, and ESOP-related litigation.

He performs these valuations for the following types of business entities and securities: closely held corporation business enterprises, closely held corporation noncontrolling ownership interests, various classes of common/preferred stock, general and limited partnership interests, professional service corporations, professional practices, and limited liability companies.

Previous Experience

Jacob was a financial analyst for Veritiv Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia, prior to joining the firm as an associate. Prior to his role with Veritiv Corporation, Jacob was a client associate with Merrill Lynch in Athens, Georgia.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in business administration in finance, with a minor in sports management, from the University of Georgia.
